Two sustain injuries in another 207 bus accident.

Wassa-Akropong (W/R) May 30 -GNA- Two passengers sustained serious injuries when a 207 Benz bus with registration number AS 1508 U and a taxi cab were involved in an accident at Dompoase near Wassa-Akropong on Monday.

One of the passengers on the bus alleged that the bus was trying to overtake the taxi with registration number GE 3064 W when the accident occurred.

Police Corporal Joseph Bukari of the Wassa-Akropong police gave the names of the injured to the GNA as Vida Oppong, 52 the only passenger in the taxi and Kwasi Kutin, 49, driver of the taxi who are on admission at the Wassa-Akropong government hospital.

All the passengers on board the 207 bus escaped unhurt. He said Isaac Baidoo, who was driving the bus was placed in police custody had since been granted bail, while investigations continue. Meanwhile, Dr. Frederick Yaw Sarpong, Medical Officer in-charge of the Wassa-Akropong government hospital told the GNA that the two were in stable conditions.
