Two suspected armed robbers lynched at Kasoa

Kasoa (C/R) April 4, GNA – Two suspected armed robbers were lynched on Sunday night at Kasoa when they attempted to robe a house.

Mr. Charles Adalong, Kasoa District Police Commander told the Ghana News Agency at Kasoa on Monday that one of them had been identified as Kofi Asante known in the town as a criminal, while the other was yet to be identified.

According to ASP Adalong, for the past few day there had been reported armed robbery cases to the police in the town.

He said police investigation had revealed that the suspects were among four armed robbers who went on an operation on Sunday night. The Police Commander said during the operation the people gave them a hot chase but Asante and his colleague ran into a big gutter, making it possible for the people to arrest and lynched them.

ASP Adalong said that the bodies had been deposited at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Mortuary for autopsy while police investigation continue.
