Two siblings found dead at Old Tafo in Kumasi

Kumasi, March 5, GNA- Residents of Old Tafo-Pankrono in Kumasi were thrown into a state of shock and trepidation when on Wednesday morning, news of the mysterious death of two young siblings spread through the community.

Fatawo Issaka,a three year old boy and his two-and-half year old sister, Kawusara Alhassan were found dead behind a public toilet facility within the premises of Old Tafo-Pankrono M.A. JSS. Their bodies, which were intact with no cuts or blood stain have been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Morgue for autopsy.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Wednesday, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) George Andrews Kumah, and District Commander of the Asawase Police said, the two children reportedly vanished from the house on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Mr Alhassan Issaka, their father and a electrician then made the report to the Old Tafo Police whiles radio announcements about the children’s sudden disappearance was made on the Ash F.M, a private radio station at Pankrono Estate.

Besides ASP Kumah said a search party was also organized to search the whole community for the children but it was in vain. Relatives therefore rushed to the scene this morning when rumours about the bodies spread in the community and were identified as those of Kawusara and Fatawo.

ASP Kumah, said though there were no cuts on the bodies the police suspects foul play and have thus intensified investigation to unravel the mystery surrounding the dastardly act.
