Two persons were shot while several others sustained various degrees of injuries in an armed robbery attack on a metro mass transit bus on the Asankragwa-Bawdie stretch in the Wassa Amenfi East district of the Western Region.

The unidentified armed robbers attacked over 50 passengers on board the bus at Pensaso, near Asankragwa around 0400hours early this morning.

One of the persons shot was the driver of the bus as well as a female passenger while several others were injured.
