Two seriously injured in accident on Winneba/Swedru road

Winneba, Jan. 12, GNA – Two people were injured when their private car collided with a Metro Mass Transport Bus on the Winneba/Agona Swedru road on Monday.

A spokesman for the Winneba Motor Transport and Traffic Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service said Mr Francis Dwamena and his wife were injured. The spokesman said they were returning to Agona Swedru from Accra when his car burst a tyre and ran into the bus coming from the opposite direction. It went under the bus and it took personnel from the Police and Fire Service about an hour to pull the car from underneath the bus. 12 Jan. 10
