Two school kids killed at Kwamo

Kwamo (Ash) Dec. 11, GNA – Tragedy on Thursday struck Kwamo, a fast growing community in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality, when two young school children got drowned in a well.

Nana Yaw, aged 10, and Adwoa Joyce, 8, both pupils of pupils of the Kwamo Anglican primary, had stayed out of school that day. An eye witness told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the deceased were seen playing around the deep well earlier in the morning. Someone who had gone to draw water from it saw their lifeless bodies and raised the alarm.

The people quickly organized and retrieved the bodies, which have since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. The Ejisu Police confirmed the incident but refused to comment on the details except to say that they were investigating.
