Two robbers shot dead near Juaso

Two armed robbers who have for some time now been terrorizing residents of Juaso and surrounding communities have been shot dead.

The duo were shot dead Thursday, April 13, 2017, after successfully robbing a cocoa merchant of unspecified amount in a two Ghana-must-go bags at Asankare near Juaso in the Ashanti Region and were in the process of escaping with their booty in a taxi cab on the Bompata-Krofa road network.

A Police Constable who was stationed at Bompata and witnessed the robbery incident managed to shoot and kill one of the robbers while the other was killed by the residents who had then mobilized after hearing the incident.

The bodies of the duo have since been deposited at the mortuary.

Polices sources say investigations are ongoing to establish the real identities of the armed robbers.
