Two Robbers Sentenced to 20 years imprisonment

Bolgatanga, Jan. 12, GNA – A Bolgatanga High Court has sentenced 30-year-old Ben Ndego Ayogo and Annas Abugri, 31, to 10 years imprisonment each for committing various crimes including robbery and lawful threat to life. They were each sentenced to 10 years imprisonment while their accomplices who escaped during the act are on police wanted list. The two convicts pleaded guilty to stealing, conspiracy to commit crime, threat to l ife and robbery and prayed the court to deal leniently with them.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Adamu Seidu said the two convicts together with their accomplice only known as Mamudu Ndekudugu alias “Kpankpeon” (Dry guinea fowl) attacked one Mr. Siita Moro and his frien= d Mr Osumanu Issah at Dabia near Pusiga and robbed them of their belongings. They made away with two motor bikes, a mobile phone worth and GH¢150.00. The convicts rode away the two motor bikes after threatening to kill their victims but as they sped off the villagers raised the alarm and alerted the police who chased and arrested them.
