Two remanded for alleged robbery in Kumasi

Kumasi, Jan 13, GNA – A taxi-cab driver and one other person accused of robbing a woman of her two cellular phones and cash of GH¢1,000.00 have been remanded into prison custody by a Kumasi Circuit Court.

Kwame Sefa, the driver, and Yaw Boakye denied charges of conspiracy and robbery and would re-appear on January 26.

An Assistant State-Attorney, Ms Justina Rosebud Anyan told the court presided over by Justice Emmanuel Amo-Yartey that the victim, Sara Affram, and the accused all live in Kumasi.

On April 23rd last year, the woman joined a taxi-cab with registration number AS 723 Y, from Santasi-Anyinam to Nhyiaeso driven by Sefa with Boakye as the other passenger.
