Dormaa=96Ahenkro (B/A), July 6, GNA – The Police in Dormaa-Ahenkro has detained two men over the mysterious death of a 24-year old unemployed woman at dawn last Thursday.

Police said Atta Akua, the deceased, died while in bed with Kwame Oppong, 33, at Mangoase, a suburb of Dormaa=96Ahenkro.

The two men in detention are Oppong and Yaw Adjei, 25, both unemployed.

ASP Mamudu Issifu, Dormaa Municipal Police Commander told newsmen at Dormaa-Ahenkro that whilst Oppong was in bed with Akua, he realized that her body suddenly became stiff and cold and all attempts to revive her proved futile.

He said Akua’s corpse had since been deposited at the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital Mortuary pending autopsy, while police investigations continued.

The Municipal Police Commander noted that the prosecution or otherwise of the two suspects would be determined after the autopsy.
