Two suspects have been arrested for plotting to snatch ballot boxes at Weija constituency in the Greater Accra region.
The two men were arrested on their way to Tettegu, also in the area. The suspect were ordered to stop but they defied the orders of the police leading to a scuffle, the military was called in as backup before the two were subsequently arrested.
A similar incident occurred at the Odododiodoo constituency where a suspect is in custody for allegedly stealing ballot sheets.
Another suspect who was reported to have thump printed the ballots has escaped arrest.
