Two killed, two injured in an accident at Gomoa Amenfi

Winneba (C/R), May 3, GNA- Two persons were killed on the spot while two others sustained injuries when a private car on which they were travelling was involved in an accident at Gomoa Amenfi near Winneba Junction on Sunday.

The dead are; Ben Appiah, aged 41 from Kasoa and Richard Tetteh, 26, from Accra while the injured who are responding to treatment at the Winneba Government Hospital are Emmanuel Armah, driver of the vehicle and Allan Wilberforce from Accra.

According to the Winneba police, the driver of the vehicle who was returning from Tarkwa to Accra was avoiding a head-on collision with an on-coming vehicle when he lost control as the vehicle somersaulted before falling into in a nearby valley.

The bodies have been deposited at the Winneba Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy while police investigation continues. Meanwhile, the police have appealed to the public to help them identify the deceased persons.
