Two killed in motor accident near Nyagbo

Have, June 16, GNA – One person was killed on the spot while one other died at the Volta Regional Hospital in Ho when a Nissan Urvan bus with registration number GT 5087 P travelling from Hohoe to Accra collided with a Toyota double cabin pick-up with registration number GR 3655B in a curve between Nyagbo-Kume and Nyagbo-Gabeve in the Hohoe District. The dead are yet to be identified.

According to Police Inspector Asetem Asiaw of the Have Police, Raymond Baidoo, 28, driver of the Urvan bus was in critical condition at the Hohoe Government Hospital while six other passengers on the bus were on admission at the same Hospital. He said four other passengers had been treated and discharged. Inspector Asiaw said the accident occurred at about 17 hours on Monday when the driver of the Toyota pick-up travelling towards Hohoe veered-off the road when he was negotiating the curve and crashed with the on-coming Hohoe-Accra Urvan bus.
