Two killed in accident near Half Assini

Half Assini (W/R), Dec. 31, GNA – Two persons including the driver of a taxi were killed on the spot and one other injured when the taxi was involved in an accident on the Bonyere Junction/Half Assini road. One of dead has been identified as Mrs Catherine Morrison, 50, but the name of the driver is not known.

According to the Half Assini police, the taxi was coming from Accra to Half Assini and on reaching a spot near New Kabenlasuazo, the taxi skidded off the road and hit a culvert.

The police said a granddaughter of the decease who received serious injuries is on admission at the Half Assini Government Hospital. They said Jelina Morrison, a 2-year-old granddaughter of the deceased person escaped unhurt.
