Two killed in accident at Aiyinasi

Axim (W/R), March 18, GNA – Two people died soon after admission to the St. Martin De Porres Catholic Hospital at Eikwe after a vehicle on which they were travelling from Menzezor to Aiyinasi in the Ellembelle district was involved in an accident near Aiyinase. They were Dosi Yanzu, 28, driver of a taxi cab with Registration Number ER1147 Q from Aiyinasi and a passenger who is yet to be identified. Another passenger whose name was not given is said to be in critical condition at the Hospital. The Nzema-East Municipal Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Daniel Ohene-Djan disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Axim. The Police Commander said the Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

The bodies of the deceased have since been deposited at the Axim Government Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said. In another development, two more accidents were recorded in the Ellembelle District during the past two weeks but there were no casualties. According to ASP Ohene-Djan On March 7, 2009, a motor rider sustained injuries when his motor collided with a taxi cab with registration Number ER 51 U between the Awiebo and Aiyinasi road. A Ford bus also ran into a ditch after a break failure on March 5 this year at a spot between the Nyamebekyere-Aiyinasi road.
