Two killed in a motor accident at Bibiani

Bibiani (Ash), Dec. 24, GNA – A second year student of the Sefwi-Wiaso Training College, Akwasi Atta Amofa and another person yet to be identified= , died when a taxi-cab on which they were travelling from Sefwi-Bekwai to Bibiani, crashed head-on into a KIA sportive salon car.

Another student of the college, Emmanuel Osei-Antwi, and a 52-year ol= d Nicodemus Kpodo, a saw miller, who were also in the taxi together with the deceased, sustained serious multiple injuries. Police Superintendent Francis Enorh, the Bibiani Commander told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Thursday that Osei-Antwi is in a critical condition and has been referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH= ) by the Bibiani Government hospital.

The accident happened on Wednesday at about 1330 hours. He said the two cars, heading towards opposite directions, collided about 400 metres away from the Dominibo community near Bibiani. Superintendent Enorh urged drivers to be more cautious to make the country’s roads safer and end the carnage. The bodies of the deceased had since been deposited at the Bibiani hospital mortuary.
