Two institutions support farmers’ day celebration

The Produce Buying Company (PBC) and Mponua Rural Bank had donated a box each of cutlasses in support of the district celebration of this year’s farmers’ day in Asante-Akim South.

They said it was their contribution towards the annual event to reward the hard work of farmers in the area.

Mr Kwame Debrah, District Manager of PBC, said farmers were their key partners and for that matter, the company would continue to be associated with efforts at improving their livelihood.

Mr Kwadwo Faakye, Deputy Manager of Mponua Rural Bank, praised farmers for their tremendous contribution to the growth and sustenance of the economy.

He said the bank was ready to give them the needed push to expand their farms and boost production.

Mr. De-graft Fokuo, District Chief Executive, thanked the two institutions and appealed to other stakeholders to support the event, to be held at Krofa on Friday, December 6.
