Two injured in Amissah-Arthur’s convoy accident

Two persons got injured Thursday morning when the convoy of the Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur was involved in an accident. The two have since been given the necessary medical attention, a Presidential Staffer James Agyenim-Boateng said in a statement.

The accident, the statement said, happened at a place near Nalerigu, in the Northern Region.

“Two people were slightly injured and have been given medical attention,” it added. The statement did not mention how the accident occured. It did not also give the identities of persons involved.

The Vice President is on a four day campaign tour of the Northern Region. TV3’s Komla Klutse who is on the tour with the Vice President told 3FM the accident did not affect the campaign.

Though he said information about the accident is sketchy, it did not involve any of the media personnel. He explained that the journalists had already arrived at their destination when news got to them that a vehicle in the presidential convoy had been involved in an accident.
