Two granted bail for stealing 42 fowls

Mankranso (Ash), Feb 10, GNA – Two people who conspired and stole 42 fowls valued at two million cedis at Adugyama in the Ahafo-Ano South district, have been granted 10 million cedis bail each by the Mankranso magistrate’s court.

Feru Salifu, 17, charcoal producer, and Fuseini Adams, 18, student, pleaded guilty and will re-appear on February 20. Prosecuting, Police Inspector Abraham Agyei-Mensah, told the court presided over by Mr Frank Owusu-Afriyie that on January 29, this year, Salifu Issifu, the complaina nt spotted the accused persons stealing some birds at his poultry farm. The prosecution said when the complainant confronted them, they took to their heels leaving the fowls behind but was chased and arrested.

A search at their homes later revealed some of the birds and they were handed over to the police.
