Two Found Dead

THE TEMA Police command is investigating what it described as ritual murder of two watchmen who were found slain at their respective working places near the Afico Fisheries last Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Eric Eshun, 55, of the Holy Fax Coldstore and Kwabena Gyasi, 50, of Guardian Security.

Their bodies have been deposited at the Police Hospital for autopsy.

Chronicle learnt from the Regional Commander, Mrs. Agnes O. Sika-Nartey, that police had a tip-off that armed bandits were attacking some coldstores near the Afico Fisheries at about 12:30pm.

She told the Chronicle that when the police men arrived at the scene, they found the two watchmen killed in coldblood and were lying at different locations in the yard.

Chronicle learnt that Eric Eshun sustained multiple cuts on the skull, while his third finger of the left hand had been chopped off.

Kwabena Gyasi, who was found dead at the opposite side of the yard, was shot in the chest.

Mrs. Sika-Nartey stated that there was no break-in and nothing was stolen from the two premises.

At the scene of the crime, the police collected one locally-made pistol with a live cartridge in it and another spent one was also found.

Police investigation continues.
