Two die in car crash

Kasoa (C/R), May 2, GNA – Two persons died, one on the spot and the other later on admission at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, when two vehicles crashed into each other near Kasoa on Friday, a police source said.

Eleven people who received various degrees of injuries were rushed to the same hospital for treatment.

Mr. Charles Adalong, Kasoa District Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency at Kasoa that one of the dead had been identified as Benjamin Awotwe, aged 30 from Accra. The other had not yet been identified.

He said the bodies had been deposited at the Hospital’s mortuary for autopsy while police investigations continue.
