Two die in accident, 10 others injured

Battor (V/R), Nov. 28, GNA- Two people died on admission at the Battor Hospital in the Volta Region and 10 others are on admission at the hospital, when a vehicle on which they were travelling from Accra to Aflao, involved in an accident near Ada Junction on Thursday.

The Hospital Authorities gave the names of the deceased as Owusu Boateng from Achimota and Agnes Thompson from Pokuase in the Ga District.

Mr Philip Diameh, Assistant Matron of the hospital told press that the deceased were able to give their names before passing away.

He said the ten who are on admission are: The Reverend Dan Adukrah of Odokor, Accra, Daniel Atiyina from Bolga, Kwasi Safo from Ashanti Region, Robert Tawiah of Teshie and Richard Mensah of Aflao.

The rest are Agnes Adjei of Accra, Alberta Koblah of Nungua, Gladys Okpah of Nungua, Gladys Mainoo of Accra and De Souza Georgette, a Beninois resident in Accra.

Mr Diameh said five other victims have been treated and discharged while those on admission are responding to treatment.
