Two persons have died from electrocution in the Eastern region.

The deceased are Agya Kofi, a popular welder at Somanya and a man identified only as Charles at Asuoyaa.

Both bodies have been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.

According to reports, Agya Kofi, was electrocuted at his mechanic shop while working on a Taxi on Monday.

Charles was, however, electrocuted at Asuoyaa in the Akuapem North municipality when attempting to fix a wire allegedly connected illegally to the national grid.

The electrical wire had fallen across a river and Charles thought after switching off the circuit there was no electrical current in the wire but got electrocuted when he attempted to lift the wire from the river.
