Two dead, others injured in accident at Bawjiase

Two people are reported dead in a fatal accident at Awutu Bawjiase in the Central region.

The accident involved two motor bikes which were heading in different directions in the town but the loss of control of the motor by one of the riders led to a head-on collision of the two motors bikes leaving the riders and two other persons who were on the separate bikes in critical condition.

The four were therefore rushed to the Agona Swedru hospital for treatment but two of them who didn’t have their helmet on have passed on with their bodies being deposited at the hospital’s morgue.

The others are however responding to treatment.

Confirming the incident to Ultimate news’ Baah Acheamfuor, the police commander for the Bawjiase ASP Bernard Norgan called on motor riders to observe traffic rules especially the wearing of helmet because they help in reducing fatalities on the road especially when it comes to head injuries which could easily lead to deaths.
