Two criminals escape from Police cells in Tumu

The Police in the Upper West region have launched a manhunt for two suspected criminals who escaped from custody on Sunday.

According to Starr FM’s Upper West regional correspondent Musah Lansah, the inmates escaped after they managed to cut through the ceiling of the Tumu Police Station.

The police in the region is refusing to speak publicly on the incident that happened around 11: 00 pm Sunday evening.

Lansah reports that the two suspected criminals, Abdulai Alhassan and Faisal Mohammed were arrested for murder and stealing respectively.

According to reports, the police service has deployed more men to ensure that the two suspected criminals are re-arrested.
