Two chemical sellers arrested for buying stolen drugs

Half Assini (W/R), Dec. 24, GNA -Two Chemical Sellers at Half Assini and Jewi near Half Assini have been arrested by the police for buying large quantities of stolen drugs costing GHC9,992.00 from the Half Assini government Hospital.

The chemical sellers, who have been granted police inquiry bail, are Eric Amihere from Half Assini and Francis Erzoah from Jewi. The Jomoro district Police Commander, deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) John Ferguson Dzineku made this known to the Ghana News Agency at Half Assini on Saturday..

The Police Commander said sometime last month, the Hospital Administrators detected the disappearance of the drug, Zrodol Acechlofenac, from the store and reported the matter to the Police. He said as part of the police investigations, some prescriptions were issued to hospital staff and police’
