Two boys drowned at Himan

Himan (W/R), Nov. 20, GNA- Two children; Enoch Mawuta, 7, and Addison Atsu, 10, on Sunday drowned in a galamsey pit filled with water at Himan when they went to bath.

The third boy, Stephen Appiah, 13, who was in their company rushed home to inform the sister of the two boys, Abigail Atsu about the incident.

Appiah told GNA at Himan that the three boys went to bath in the shallow part of the pit but Mawuta went deeper and could not swim to safety when he was drowning.

He said in his attempt to rescue his brother, Atsu jumped into the water and both of them drowned. The bodies of the two boys have been deposited at

Government Hospital at Prestea for autopsy. 20 Nov. 07
