Two assist police into alleged 40 million cedis theft

Tepa (Ash), Dec 29, GNA – Two people are helping the Tepa police into the alleged stealing of 40 million cedis from the office of the purchasing clerk of the Produce Buying Company (PBC) at Achina near Manfo in the Ahafo-Ano North district of Ashanti. However, the names of the suspects are being withheld for security reasons. Mr Ampofo Duku, the District Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency at Tepa on Thursday that the police are hunting for an accomplice who is on the run and believed to be hiding in Kumasi. He said the theft occurred on Thursday, December 22 and that the suspects including the watchman are helping the police in their investigations into the theft.
