Two arrested for kidnapping pregnant woman

Four men, including the driver of a Toyota caravan are in the grips of the Kpong Police in the Eastern region for suspected abduction and trafficking of a pregnant woman last night.

The woman, who was kidnapped in Tema, was being transferred to Aflao in the Volta Region but the police intercepted the group in Kpong upon an alarm raised by some residents who heard the woman scream for help in the car.

Eastern regional correspondent Bernert Yaovi narrates that the abductors tied the hands and legs of the pregnant woman who was due to give birth in two weeks.
