Two arrested for ‘beating’ female teacher to death

Two persons have been arrested by the Nsuta police for allegedly causing the death of a 22-year-old kindergarten teacher.

The female teacher was reported dead after allegedly being assaulted by relatives of a pupil she had punished for wrong doing at Asuafu, near Nsuta in the Ashanti region.

The deceased, identified as Charity Nyarko, was a Kindergarten teacher at the St. Joseph Anglican Preparatory School at Nsuta in the Sekyere Central District.

The deceased, reportedly disciplined a pupil in the kindergarten department who suffered injury as a result.

According to Nhyira FM, the deceased on Monday together with the headmistress, went to apologize to the family of the pupil but a furious family member picked up a chair to hit Charity and in her attempt to flee fell into a gutter.

She later died at the Mampong Hospital.

Speaking to XYZ News, ASP Asamoah Agyekum, the district Police Commander of Nsuta said the two people arrested would be charged with murder.
