Two arraigned for stealing motorbikes

Two men standing trial at a Kumasi Circuit Court over the theft of motorbikes, have been granted GH¢60,000.00 bail each with a surety. Ali Ishmael and Ibrahim Fatau are facing charges of conspiracy and stealing and they pleaded not guilty.

They would make their next court appearance on Monday, July 28. Police Inspector Gulliver Kwabena Tenkorang told the court, presided over by Mr William Boampong, that the two stole the bikes from an auto mechanic shop at Abirem.

For about three months now, the owner of the shop has been experiencing thefts at his shop, the last of such incident, happened on July 8. The prosecution said a formal report was made to the police and the accused, Ishmael and Fatau, were arrested following investigations They admitted the offence in their caution statement, he added.
