Two armed robbers arrested for robbing drug dealer

The Akyem Asiakwa Police in the Eastern region have arrested two suspected armed robbers, Evans Asirifi and Francis, for allegedly robbing one Asamoah Emmanuel.

The two, are customers to the victim, who is a suspected drug dealer.

They reportedly went to him under the guise of buying some drugs (cocaine and wee) but ended up pulling a pistol on him, stole his money and tried to abscond.

The Police officer in charge of the Asiakwa police station, Chief Inspector Osei Manu explained to Starr News’ Eastern regional corespondent, Kojo Ansah, that both Francis and Evans were given a good chase by residents of the area when the supposed victim screamed for help.

He added that the suspects are being processed for court.

Meanwhile, the victim who has been hospitalized will also be arrested to assist in investigations into his alleged peddling of drugs in the area.
