Twin brothers donate books to Dormaa District Library

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A), Sept. 21, GNA – Two male twins at Dormaa-Ahenkro, have donated books and handouts worth 10 million cedis to the Dormaa District Library.

Messrs Atta Dabone Senior and Atta Dabone Junior told Ghana News Agency that the donation was in fulfilment of a pledge they made, when they visited the facility last year with some foreign friends. The books, which are basically for tertiary education, included economics, computer science, statistics books, handouts on new borrowing and compendium on donor policies and procedures.

Presenting them, Atta Dabone Senior said he and his brother were determined to assist in the growth of education in the area. He said they were making efforts to procure books for other levels of education in the district and urged other well-meaning citizens to contribute to the growth of education in the district. Mr Emmanuel Kwaku Asare, acting Dormaa District Library Officer, who received the donations on behalf of the District Chief Executive, thanked the donors and also called on Dormaa citizens at home and abroad to emulate the twins.

He commended the Dormaa District Assembly for rehabilitating of the library block.
