Twenty-six people die in accident at Techiman

Twenty-six persons perished on Monday night when a 33-seater Benz bus they were travelling on collided with a recovery tipper truck at Bono Manso in Nkoranza North District.

Chief Superintendent of Police Joseph Antwi Gyau, Techiman Municipal Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday that seven other persons are on admission at the same hospital.

He appealed to the public to assist the police to identify the deceased.

Mr Gyau said the bus was travelling from Kumasi towards Bolgatanga while the truck was heading towards Techiman from Kintampo.
