Tutor barbers 200 candidates at SWESCO

About 200 final-year students of Swedru Senior High School were last Wednesday given different shapes of haircut before they were allowed to write this year West Africa Senor School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

According to information available to Today, the students had their hair cut because they had left bushy hair.

The hair cut exercise, which reportedly lasted for thirty minutes, was single-handedly carried out by a Form Three Integrated Science tutor, Mr. Ransford Ogoe, with the tacit support of the school’s authorities.

Two female students who insisted on not having their hair cut by Mr. Ogoe were delayed one hour before finally allowed to go and write the examination, according to report.

And after the exercise, the affected students became extremely angry and could not understand why the authorities would subject them to what they termed as ‘inhumane treatment’ albeit they have a few days to leave the four walls of the school.
