Sunyani, Dec 13, GNA – A section of the youth of Tuobodom in Techiman Municipality demonstrated on Thursday but reasons for their action was not made known.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Yaw Adu-Gyimah, Brong-Ahafo Regional Commander, said police had information that some youth holding placards were demonstrating and had barricaded the Kintampo-Tamale road. ”The situation was brought under control and calm has returned to the place with people going about their normal duties.
No one was attacked and no property was destroyed during the demonstration,” Mr Adu-Gyimah said.
When asked about the cause of the demonstration, the Brong Ahafo Regional police chief said, “the police are yet to find out.”
