Tufuhen pledges ICT centre for Ajumako Assasan schools

Ajumako Assasan (C/R), Jan. 8, GNA – Nana Ackaah VI, Tufuhen of Ajum= ako Assasan in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District of the Central Region, promise= d to provide the schools in town with an Information Communication Technology (ICT) centre to support teaching and learning. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at his palace at Assasan, he said the centre would be equipped with 25 desktop computers and accessories by March, this year.

Nana Ackaah expressed concern about the falling standards of education in the area, and appealed to the citizens to rekindle their communal spirit= s to ensure the early completion of development projects including the proposed ICT centre.

He called for peace and unity, adding that the youth should not sit idle since the future of the town depended on them. 93It is our turn to continue and improve upon what we came to meet.” Nana Ackaah appealed to Assasan citizens far and near to come home and support development projects either in cash or in kind. Nana Ackaah, known in private life as Mr Isaac Odoom, is a workshop superintendent at the Ghana Manganese Company at Tarkwa.
