TUC gives thumbs-up to clean-up

Accra, Jan. 25, GNA – The Trades Union Congress (TUC) on Wednesday gave the thumbs-up to Saturday’s clean-up exercise being organised by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and called on workers to participate actively in it.

“The Steering Committee of the Ghana Trades Union Congress has welcomed the exercise by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) to clean-up the Central Business District and Sub-Metropolitan Districts. “Ghana TUC is convinced that the exercise is laudable since it will help clear the city of filth and provide the healthy environment that is required for work to thrive to enhance the fortunes of our dear country.”

The AMA is organising a massive cleanup in Accra on Saturday as part of its war against filth in the Metropolis.
