TTAG urges government to pay arrears of allowance

Accra May 22, GNA- The National Executive Board of the Teacher Trainee’s Association of Ghana (TTAG) on Saturday called on government to resolve issues concerning the payment of October 2002 allowance arrears by the end of June 2004 or it would advise itself.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Mr Bruce Senam Mcbrian, National Secretary of the Association. The decision was taken during the 23rd Annual General Meeting after several appeals for the payment of allowance arrears to the 2002/2003 batch of the first year teacher trainee had failed.

The statement said the non-payment of the arrears was taking the students through untold hardship.
