Truant BECE candidates to be dismissed

Kumasi, Feb 7, GNA- Mr Emmanuel Ominako-Dankwa, Education Officer in charge of Asokwa Sub- Metro, has warned candidates of the Basic Education Certificate Examination, who absent themselves from classes, would be dismissed and barred from writing the examination. Mr Ominako-Dankwa who was interacting with teachers of the Kyirapatre Catholic Primary School in Kumasi said the measure was aimed at improving discipline in the schools.

He said some of the candidates refuse to attend classes after registering for the examination leading to poor academic work. Mr Ominako-Dankwa called on teachers to be punctual to duty and work diligently towards the development of education in the area.
