Trending GH: What caused NDC’s defeat in the 2016 elections?

Over the past few days, some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been pointing accusing fingers at each other for contributing to the party’s defeat in the 2016 December elections.

The Election Review Committee chaired by Dr. Kwesi Botchwey which was setup to investigate the cause of the party’s defeat is yet to bring out a report, but already some party members are blaming former President Mahama and some executives of the party for their electoral defeat.

Also, discussions across the country by the committee have been characterized by confusion from some angry members.

Upon this, GhanaWeb decided to go on the streets of Accra to ask Ghanaians what they think accounted for the party’s defeat.

Responses from them indicated that former President Mahama’s ministers and some executives disrespected elders of the party and Ghanaians as well which made them lose drastically in the last elections.
