The 2017 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) contest ended on Thursday with Prempeh College winning it for the fourth time.
They won it after beating St. Thomas Aquinas and Adisadel College in the finals held at the National Theater.
But it wasn’t all about the knowledge of Science and Maths that made headlines.
The event was spiced up by trolls that got social media buzzing.
Schools like Pope John Senior High, Presec legon and Achimota were trolled for different reasons at various stages of the competition.
Even the eventual winners, Prempeh College were not left out of it, they were trolled at some point.
St. Thomas Aquinas, arguably the ‘surprise package’ for the tournament seems to have something to laugh about despite their defeat to Prempeh in the finale.
The Old Toms have taken delight in making fun of their ‘old-time foes’, Adisadel College.
Adisadel College was virtually was nonexistent in the finale as they lost their competitive edge and trailed throughout the contest.
They beat them with a gap of 21points.
The Old Toms however bitterly blamed their loss on the pressure and nervy nature of the finale but promised to take the trophy they won for the first time in 2013 back.
