Treat patients with respect and dignity – Mrs Anafu

Juaso (Ash), Jan. 27, GNA – Mrs Rita Anafu, Deputy Ashanti Regional Director of Nursing Services, has appealed to health workers to maintain a high level of professionalism and treat the sick with respect and dignity.

She said being nice to patients formed part of the healing process.

There was the need for attitudinal change to help boost the confidence of the people in the health professionals.

Mrs Anafu was speaking at an annual performance review meeting of the Asante-Akim South District Directorate of Health Services at Juaso.

She called for hard work to enable the Service to achieve its set targets and bring quality health care to the people.

She encouraged managers of health facilities to do more to generate enough’
