Transport Company hands over Office to Tema MTTU

Tema, Aug 4, GNA – Jonmoore International Limited (JIL), a Tema-based Transport and Project Logistics Company, has donated a custom-made office unit, worth GHC16,000, to the Tema branch of the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service.

The air-conditioned office, furnished with tables and chairs, filing cabinet, document safe, computer and printer, among other items, formed part of JIL’s corporate social responsibility.

Handing it over to the Police, Mr Hilton John Mitchell, Managing Director of the company, said the gesture was in recognition of MTTU’s tremendous contributions and successes in improving road safety in the Tema Metropolis and its environs.

Mr Mitchell said JIL was particularly impressed by the effective monitoring of vehicles on roads within the Metropolis, and an excellent traffic management at intersections and congested areas by MTTU, amidst constraints and logistic challenges.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP Augustine Gyenning, Tema Regional Police Commander, received the office unit on behalf of the MTTU, and thanked the company for the gesture.

Superintendent Daniel Ansong-Dankyi, Regional MTTU Commander, pledged his outfit’s preparedness to use the office for the purpose for which it was donated.
