Traffic department of AngloGold Ashanti assists goitre patient

Obuasi (Ash), Aug 11, GNA- The Traffic Department of AngloGold Ashanti, has contributed nearly seven million cedis for a successful surgical operation on a 24-year-old woman goitre patient.

Miss Mercy Idun the patient is not a worker of AngloGold Ashanti, or has she a relation working with the company.

Mr Gideon Mensah of the Traffic department said they were touched by the plight of the woman and therefore contributed to get the woman’s problem solved.

Mr Mensah expressed deep appreciation to his colleagues for supporting his initiative to have the woman cured. Miss Idun expressed her gratitude to the department for adopting her and continuously taking care of her health.

The department on Tuesday again collected one million cedis and gave it to Miss Idun for her upkeep.
