Abodiase (Ash), Aug. 28, GNA – The Omanhene of Manso-Nkwanta traditional area, Nana Bi-Kusi Appiah II, has called for unity among the people and the rekindling of their communal spirit for the rapid development of the area.
Nana Appiah made the call during a working visit to Koko, Abodiase, Hiakose, Moseaso and Abrense communities in his traditional area to interact with the chiefs and people and to explain some of the problems facing his traditional area to them.
Speaking at separate durbars organised in his honour, he warned inhabitants who were in the habit of selling parcels of land illegally and setting up long-term projects that were not beneficial to their families and the community to stop the practice.
He said the land was always protected for the future generations and could also be used for individual projects that would be in the interest of the people, especially the youth.
Nana Appiah gave a two-week ultimatum to those who had sold land for long-term projects to report such transaction to the traditional council for the necessary action.
At Abodiase, the chiefs and people appealed to the government and the Amansie West District Assembly to construct a clinic and teachers’ quarters for the community.
