Traditional Medicine Practitioners hail President Mills

Accra, Jan. 9, GNA – The Ghana Federation of Traditional Medicine Practitioners Associations (GHAFTRAM) on Friday sent a message of congratulations to President John Evans Atta Mills on his assumption of office and God’s guidance and long life in his duties. In a statement signed by Agya Kwaku Appiah, President, GHAFTRAM said it was possible to attain the status of an emerging economy like China, Malaysia, India and Nigeria.

“But this requires extra work, dedication, patriotism and respect for cherished traditional and cultural values on the part of the citizenry in line with practical national orientation,” the statement said.

GHAFTRAM said it would continue to work closely with all sections of the public to support government policies at all times in fighting the common enemies of disease, illiteracy, poverty and famine that tended to retard our progress as a nation. “This way, political, economic, social and technological advancement is assured,” it said.
