Traditional Council threatens to sever relations with assembly

Sefwi-Anhwiaso (W/R), March 16, GNA – The Sefwi-Anhwiaso Traditional Council has threatened to sever relations with Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai district assembly if it did not withdraw its recognition of Nana Ngoa Anyimah Kodom, as Omanhene. At an emergency meeting at Sefwi-Anhwiaso, the Council vowed not to have anything to do with the assembly as long as it continues to deal with him. It would boycott all programmes organized by the assembly. Nana Kodom has been parading as Omanhene of the traditional area and this has angered the chiefs.

They said they found his conduct reprehensible and a recipe for confusion in the area. They therefore warned him to stop holding himself as chief. They insisted Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi is the only customarily and legally installed Omanhene of the area and urged the public to ignore Nana Kodom’= s claim with contempt.
