Traditional Council supports Benso Development Programme

Benso (W/R), July 29, GNA – Osagyefo Kwamina Enimil VI, Omanhene of the Wassa Fiase Traditional Area has, on behalf of the traditional council, donated 55 million cedis to support development programmes at Benso.

Out of the amount 10 million cedis would be used to rehabilitate the classroom block of the Benso Methodist Junior Secondary School and five million cedis for the provision of additional pews for the local Methodist church.

At a separate ceremony Osagyefo Enimil presented a 21-inch colour television set to the Benso Senior Secondary Technical School. Mr. Richmond Hanson, chairman of the Benso unit committee and Mr. K. Yeboah, assembly member for the area, said the remaining 40 million cedis would be used to support development projects in the town. The two who received the money on behalf of the community thanked the Omanhene for his prompt response to an appeal by the people for support at a recent public forum at Benso.
