Trader jailed nine years for defilement

Accra, Jan. 4, GNA – A trader who defiled a 13-year-old pupil was on Wednesday sentenced to nine years imprisonment by an Accra Circuit Court.

Daniel Efeaka, 35, pleaded not guilty to defilement.

The Court presided over by Mrs Justice Georgina Mensah-Datsa at the end of the trial found Efeaka guilty and convicted him accordingly.

Police Chief Inspector I.A.A. Ahor, prosecuting, said the complainant was mother of the victim, they both lived at Kotobabi, while Efeaka resides in the same area.
